Golf Galaxy, owned by Dick's Sporting Goods, opened its first store in 1997. The store offers a wide assortment of golf equipment and accessories as well as pre-owned equipment and a trade-in program toward any in-store purchase. Golf Galaxy's also offers on-site PGA and LPGA Professional services and training. They offer lessons and computer video swing analysis. They also offer on-site Certified Club Technicians to ensure proper club fit, re-gripping and re-shafting of clubs, and adjustments to club loft, lie and swing-weight. Golf Galaxy also offers interactive golf course simulators for customers to play some of the world's most famous courses; an indoor driving bay to test merchandise before purchase; and a full-sized putting green. Golf Galaxy has 75 stores with stores averaging 15K sq. ft. in size.
