Allegiance POS Data, EDI 852, and Supply Chain Services
Allegiance, originally a division of Baxter Healthcare, was purchased by Cardinal Health for its medical-surgical product manufacturing and distribution in February of 1999 and currently operates as a subsidiary of Cardinal Health, Inc. Allegiance made surgical drapes, gloves and gowns, and distributed customized arrangements of medical supplies (called "custom sterile packs" and "procedure-based delivery systems"). Allegiance also provided integrated cost-saving services to its health-care customers through inventory-management programs, customized packaging, and various consulting services.
